Late June, I met Janelle and Sam at Elizabeth Park in Hartford, Connecticut for their engagement session. In my opinion, this is one of the best times of the year to visit Elizabeth Park. In the famous Rose Garden there are rows and rows of arches covered in heirloom climbing roses. The arched rows lead to this amazing vine covered gazebo, which looks like it is out of a fairy tale.
The weather for Janelle and Sam’s session was perfect after what felt like weeks of rain. All of us were so in awe of the beauty of this park. Not only was the Rose Garden in full bloom, but the annual garden and the shade garden were showing off as well. There were endless opportunities for places to take photos in Elizabeth Park, despite the crowd of people there on that Wednesday evening.
Janelle and Sam had told me they were quickly drawn in by my photos because they felt like they could feel the love I captured. They too wanted to show how fun and special their relationship was. I knew we were going to be a perfect fit! I cant’t stress how important it is to feel a connection to your photographer and the art they create with you.
Janelle and Sam came ready to share a piece of themselves with me. Their hearts were open to what I asked them to give me. I feel like you can see how truly beautiful their love is when you look at the photos of this day. I cannot wait to work with Janelle and Sam again and capture the special moments of their wedding day. May can’t get here soon enough!
