Soon after Alina and Gary booked me to photograph their wedding, we started planning their engagement session. Like most of my couples, they asked for location recommendations. Of course I had to include Elizabeth Park in West Hartford. It is one of best spots for an engagement session in Connecticut for any season.
A few weeks prior to their West Hartford engagement session, Alina and Gary asked me if they could bring a pizza along to their shoot. Their idea was too include their favorite early dates. And honestly, I can’t believe they even had to ask, because a pizza and wine e-sesh will always be my favorite kind!
Late August at Elizabeth Park is just as beautiful as the end of June. So while the heirloom roses weren’t blooming, the annual garden was in full bloom glory and temperatures were just perfect, aka no sweat dripping down our backs as we took these photos.
And as an extra tip, be sure you get your permit before heading down to Elizabeth Park in West Hartford shoot your engagement session. While this rule has always been in place, with trying to maintain social distance guidelines, the park is trying to be more proactive in enforce this policy. Permits for Hartford residents is only $25 while non residents will pay $50 and you can reply right on their website.
And if you liked this session, be sure to check out this June engagement session at Elizabeth Park!
