Is there anything more quintessentially summer, then engagement photos taken at golden sunset and a cornfield? Last August Chelsea and Shane invited me to the family farm for their mid summer engagement photo session. It had all the makings for a stunning session. Epic golden hour sun, rolling hills of cornfields, and the cutest couple ever.
Like most of my couples, this was Chelsea and Shane’s first professional photo session. They were nervous of being in front of the camera, but looking at their photos you would never know it. The biggest part of my job is to make sure that my couples are having fun in front of the camera! I always try to evoke natural emotions and capture my couples as authentically as possible. It is the whole foundation of the art that I create for my couples.
So if you’re nervous about your engagement photos, take some tips from Chelsea and Shane. Pick a location that is familiar to you or holds special meaning. Come ready to have fun and laugh (even if a supposedly flameless smoke bomb starts shooting flames). And bring the champagne to calm those nerves!!
