A cozy in-home engagement session, is there a better way to document the start of your life together? When I started helping Alyse and Michael plan theirs, we were throwing around multiple ideas. They had hoped for snow, but the main constant was that they wanted to incorporate the space they had spent the last four years creating together.
Having an in-home engagement session is a great idea if you are especially nervous about being in front of the camera. Being in a familiar space where you already feel the most comfortable, immediately puts you at ease. Bonus! You also get to include your fur babies! Alyse and Michael’s bulldog Lizzie was the real star of their session. She happily licked up all the flour that got scattered around the kitchen.
After making a delicious baking mess in the kitchen, we moved through out the house. I loved seeing how beautiful the space they made was. They even had this adorable entryway chandelier that Alyse and Michael had made together when they first bought their home. At the end of Alyse and Michael’s in-home session, I really felt like we had gotten to know each out and it made me even more excited to capture their wedding day at The Grandview this coming October! And besides getting some really amazing photos of you and your hunny, getting to know my couples is the main reason I love them so much.
