There are many places in Brooklyn to have your engagement session, but Prospect Park may be one of my favorites. Add spring to the mix and you are in for a treat. When Michaela and Aukai mentioned wanting to do their engagement session at Prospect Park at the end of April, I started looking for spots where we could get some spring flowers into the mix, as well as get some classic city shots. After some research I suggested meeting at the Grand Army Plaza.
The Grand Army Plaza is a wonderful spot for your spring Prospect Park engagement session for many reasons, but here are my top three. The first being the gorgeous cherry trees that bloom without drawing the crowd that The Brooklyn Botanical Garden does. Second being the amazing sunset views that you get from that part of the park. And lastly, the plaza is one of the entrances to Prospect Park, meaning you can get a wonderful mix park and urban vibes.
I had so much fun getting to know Michaela and Aukai during their session. We talked about how they met, their pup, and all the plans for their wedding day. And while they tried to convince me that they were not naturals in front of the camera, these photos prove otherwise. I can’t wait to be a part of their wedding day later this year!
